VIENNA / AUSTRIA
2010 Edition

After three days of intense poker, Hungarian player Mario Karman won the Chilipoker Deepstack Open Vienna after successfully beating runner-up Laszlo Toth. Karman proudly walked out of Montesino casino with a whopping €50,405! Once again, the DSO was jam packed with over 500 players from across Europe. Over the four days of tournament, the Austrian capital became home to a large number of German, Austrian, Hungarian, French, Swiss, Italian, Romanian and Polish poker players all striving to win the 5th leg of the Chilipoker DSO.

With a starting stack of 50,000 chips and a €550 buy-in, players waited eagerly until 8pm Saturday night to finally witness 63 of them finishing in the money. Eventually, at 6pm Sunday evening the names of the 10 finalists were known with an impressive 5/10 finalists coming from Hungary: Norbert Oltyan, Janos Toth, Roland Takacs, Lazslo Toth (chipleader) and Mario Karman! Three Austrians (Thomas Leeb, Roland Takacs, and Wolfgang Wessin), one Romanian (Manuel Stan) and one Italian player (Rosario Dalessio) also completed the final table.
The tournament finally came to an end just after Midnight on Monday morning; the As-Jack of Laszlo Toth couldn’t find any help against the pocket Kings of Mario Karman, thus giving Karman the prestigious DSO Vienna title. Throughout the Chilipoker DSO Vienna, players got the chance to enjoy Montesino Casino’s amazing feature table which recorded all the action (including bet size, pot size and chip stacks) at the table and broadcasted it live around the whole casino. Players are now given the opportunity to take home their action on the TV table against 1 FPP on their Chilipoker account!

The DeepStack Open is a 3 day tournament with over 500 players. The ‘DeepStack’ concept for the same buy-in allows players to start the tournaments with five times more chips than a classic casino tournament. Players can play more hands, see more cards and play a DeepStack Open event with the guarantee of enjoying a fabulous poker weekend – whether you’re a rookie or a pro.

It has been copied many times, however has never succeeded until now! The DeepStack Open has revolutionized European poker! The DSO tournaments are the only events providing a comfortable 3 day poker game for a low buy-in in fantastic destinations such as Paris, Vienna, Marrakech, Cannes, Malta and the Costa Brava. Our DeepStack tournament has kept its unique structure of regular blind increases to ensure non-stop action but with enough time to pass bad cards. To add even more fun to the game, the sponsor gives players the opportunity to win iPads, Laptops, Bose Headsets and buy-ins to other DSO events – keeping the DeepStack Open a fun and friendly tournament.
